In addition to books, provide your child with other reading materials such as magazines, comic books, word finds, or puzzle books. Many teachers and parents get stuck in the idea that "real reading" means reading a book. The use of word games and mind puzzles absolutely exercises the brain and reinforces sound-letter relationships and sight-word recognition. You've got to see this for more info.
